The Fern Grove

I am a mom, teacher, gardener, writer, baker, animal lover, nature lover and now a blogger. I hope this site will be a great outlet and resource for myself as well as lots of others out there. I am grateful to my wonderful husband who helped me create this blog. I aim to keep it informative, easy to use, enjoyable, and colourful.

We are a family starting out. We just moved to our first home in the countryside of southern Ontario, Canada, have a young son, two cats, a dog and some fish. We are on a tight budget and are strugling to make ends meet but are concentrating on living a happy, fun loving, sustainable life. The content of this blog will surely reflect this. You will also find the content and my writing our affected by my university background in science and education, my love for the art, my creative side and my imagination!
